There are many lovely walks around Allmendhubel and Mürren, offering splendid views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks.

There's a funicular from Mürren up to Allmendhubel - from here there are footpaths and trails back to Mürren or, for the serious mountain climbers, up to the Schilthorn.

At Allmendhubel there is a restaurant and a children's playground.

We took a picnic - and enjoyed the scenic views, then walked down to Mürren. It was a good path, although steep in a couple of places.
