Lauterbrunnen, set in a steep valley, is the starting point for visits to Mürren, Wengen and Schilthorn. The Schilthornbahn leaves Mürren for the Schilthorn mountain top.

After looking round the small town, you could go by the new cable car up to Grutschalp. You could walk along the path or go by train along to Mürren which nestles on the edge of the mountain.

The Wengenalp train slowly winds its way from Lauterbrunnen up to Wengen, which sits on the opposite side of the valley to Mürren.

From Wengen it's possible to stay on the train up to Kleine Scheidegg or go by cable car to Männlichen.
