Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe
Map showing Jungfraubahn route to Jungfraujoch

The trip to the Jungfraujoch, 3454 m, Top of Europe, is not to be missed and is a great full day trip.

The Jungfraubahn goes from Kleine Scheidegg and travels through the Eiger to reach the Jungfraujoch.

The Jungfraujoch, always covered in snow, even in summer, has the highest altitude station in Europe. It's a fantastic journey with splendid views. At the top you can visit the Sphinx, have a sleigh ride pulled by husky dogs, and visit the Ice Palace.

Go to the Jungfraujoch Details Page for more information on things to see and do at the top.

Adolph Guyer-Zeller planned and started the building of the Jungfrau Railway in 1896.
