Interlaken is an interesting and pretty town, situated between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.

For a great view over Interlaken and the surrounding Jungfrau mountains, take the new red funicular up to Harder Kulm (the station is near Interlaken Ost railway station). The funicular only takes 8 minutes to the top and there is a good restaurant offering refreshments. You can see both Lake Thun and Lake Brienz from Harder Kulm.
